Layer style effects

Create a new layer using Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+N and convert it to the smart object. Populate it with content, it could be text or imagery.

Bevel and emboss

Navigate to bevel and emboss effect:

  • Style: Inner Bevel
  • Size: 4px;
  • Soften: 2px
  • Angle: 120deg
  • Altitude: 30deg
  • Gloss Contour: Rolling Slope
  • Highlight mode: Soft light, 15%
  • Shadow mode: Multiply, 75%

Navigate to contour effect:

  • Contour: Half Round
  • Range: 50%


Inner Shadow

Navigate to inner shadow effect:

  • Blend Mode: Color Dodge
  • Color: #4d4d4e
  • Opacity: 30%
  • Distance: 3px
  • Size: 9px

Inner Glow

Navigate to inner glow effect:

  • Blend mode: Soft light
  • Opacity: 15%
  • Color: #fff
  • Size: 7px

Gradient overlay

Navigate to gradient overlay effect:

  • Blend mode: Hard light
  • Opacity: 95%;
  • Check Dither;
  • Gradient name: Faucet 140

Navigate to pattern overlay effect:

  • Pattern: Office;
  • Blend mode: Soft light
  • Opacity: 20%

Drop Shadow

Set a drop shadow, which is key effect for our layer style:

  • Blend Mode: Linear Burn
  • Opacity: 100%
  • Color: #4b516b
  • Angle: 15deg
  • Distance: 11px
  • Spread: 10%
  • Size:8px
  • Contour: Cove-deep

Set a perspective

Download any perspective wall photo from the web. Place it into your composition using File/Place Linked. Select the mock-up, hit Ctrl/Cmd+T and holding Ctrl/Cmd align your mock-up bounding box accordingly
